# Why Shamash

Shamash builds security by understanding how systems fail. It works across local AI security, reverse engineering, emerging-threat research, and cybersecurity infrastructure.

## Capabilities

- **Local AI security:** Deterministic, offline security software for AI inputs, retrieved content, tool calls, and model outputs.
- **Reverse engineering:** Evidence-driven investigation of hardware, firmware, embedded systems, boot chains, storage, interfaces, recovery paths, and runtime behavior.
- **Cybersecurity infrastructure:** Testable, auditable, and recoverable defenses with adversarial testing, vulnerability checks, audit trails, release gates, and verified recovery.

## Current work

- **Lenovo YT3-850F:** Reconstructed an undocumented boot chain into a RAM-based Linux rescue system with authenticated SSH.
- **PS4:** Reverse-engineering its GPU for local AI and automated jailbreak research.
- **Data recovery:** Reconstructing a disk image from legacy hardware to retrieve files considered unrecoverable.

Research is valuable when it produces repeatable capabilities.
